In light of recent developments with the coronavirus outbreak, the VL leadership team has made the decision to take Vinings Lake Sunday services online for now. That means that there will be no corporate gatherings of any kind held on our campus until further notice. Services will be live-streamed on Facebook on Sunday mornings as well as posted for viewing later.
While this is a very serious situation that warrants our immediate attention and action, there is no need for panic. Now is simply the time to prepare and act responsibly, both individually and corporately. Let’s lead the way in taking proactive steps to help slow the spread of the virus in our community.
We deeply love each and every one of you, and we care greatly about you and your family’s wellbeing. We also love and care about our neighbors and must be advocates for the protection of our most vulnerable right now — the very young, the elderly, and the health-compromised.
Because we are not healthcare experts, we strongly encourage you and your family to actively monitor real-time news updates from reliable sources so that you can stay current on the latest healthcare advisories and protocols as the landscape is changing rapidly.
While we practice social distancing for a bit, let’s also use this as an opportunity to bond even more deeply as a collective. Share your thoughts and questions with each other on social media. Watch online services together as a family. Check on your neighbors. Ask for help if you need it. If you are aware of folks in our tribe who are not tech savvy or do not have access to streaming technology, please make an effort to reach out to them by phone to help them feel loved, included, and connected.
We will be sharing more information and helpful resources as we become aware of them. We love you VL family. Let’s be there for one another. And let’s love others well through this.
