SUNDAY MORNINGS

As you pull up to our 1964 building, don’t fret if it gives off a few fundamentalist vibes.

The entire building is one giant metaphor for our collective. Many of us come from deep religious upbringings that we have previously or are currently renovating. Our Sunday gathering provides a safe space for this type of evolving spirituality.

As you arrive…

someone from our hospitality team will be standing by to greet you. They can point you in the right direction, escort you to the kids’ building, or serve you a cup of coffee. If you are introverted, no worries, you can slip right in, find a seat in the back, and get out without being bothered. Come on in, find a seat, and check out everything happening around VL on the screens while you wait for our 11 a.m. start.

Our space is accessible and inclusive to everyone. If you are in a wheelchair and

unable to use the steps, you can park up front in our handicap spaces and access our

ramp at the front door. There is plenty of space between and beside our chairs for

whatever your situation might require. Our hospitality team is here to serve you, don’t

hesitate to ask for anything you might need.

Our Sunday experience

Sundays consist of meditations, teachings, music, communion, and open mics on any given Sunday. We work hard to think through the lens of first-time guests.

We know how awkward spiritual communities can be, and we do our best to incorporate familiar traditions that keep things as normal as possible.

TABLE

You will notice an elongated table that is strategically placed in the center of our auditorium. We consider this the center of everything we do. Depending on your wisdom tradition, some call this the Eucharist, Communion, Mass, or the Lord’s supper. Everyone is welcome to the table. Be free to jump in a line, grab the bread, dip it in the wine or grape juice, go back to your seat, and take a moment. This can be a practice of gratitude, a reset for the new week, or a time of breathing and meditation. If all this feels slightly too weird for you, we get it, be free to stay seated.

Connect

There is no judgment here.

If this is your first time joining us, be free to grab a connection card in the seat pocket in front of you and fill it out to the level you feel comfortable. After our gathering, Pastor Cody and Katie will be in the welcome area and would love to meet you. Feel free to hand them the connection card at that time or drop it in one of the black boxes by the doors on your way out.

OUR HOPE

We hope you experience moments that disrupt, captivate, comfort, challenge, heal, and compel you in all the ways you might need it. We are creating room for the world to wake up in ways it never has before. Most of all, we hope you experience the transformative love of the Divine.
